Due to the nature of their work Illumina’s strategy for evacuation is complex due to the controlled departmentalisation of their business. Trusted to analyse their new flagship building at Granta Park in Cambridge, TagEvac^® were invited to provide zone planning that would work throughout their site. This involved ensuring the various physical restrictions within the building when evacuating in a worst-case event were managed effectively. The system has proved its effectiveness during unplanned alarm activation during phased handover stages to full occupation.

Aware that our systems have the flexibility and scale to work within complex buildings our attention to detail has simplified their Emergency Management process. This gives clear and useable information to the Emergency Services and Incident controllers in real time.

Although Illumina’s work touches the very boundaries of technology, they understand and value a low-tech solution that manages their people. An evacuation process that provides simplicity and clarity throughout. The result: simpler training and better evaluation after each evacuation.
